Living with a local family is a very special experience. People of San José are very friendly, generous and welcoming to visitors. In addition to daily language interaction outside the classroom, home stays provide a unique opportunity to participate in the lives and customs of the people from San Jose, These living arrangements also allow students to observe how local families depend on the forest and its resources as part of their days to day’s existence.
FAMILY STAY: USD $65.00
The traditional immersion approach living with a local family can be a very rewarding cultural experience 7 days a week Private room, share bath, all meals, (6 night/ 7days/week). Cost: $65.00. You will join the family for meals and at others times when you are included in family events. All homes are located near the school. Accommodations are modest but comfortable.
You will have a private room with a fan, linens, a light and a table to study by. All homes have showers and purified drinking water available to you. We usually place one student per host-family, but we gladly accommodate couples and families, together, if you let us know in advance.

A popular offering of Mundo Maya Spanish School. 7 days a week, share bathroom, (without meals). Cost $40.00 Students enjoy many extra benefits: The "feel" of staying in your own home, and the opportunity to meet other students from around the world. The Guest house is located in the school area and accommodate from 8 to 14 students.
